The Blessing of a Father

Today I had the pleasure of sharing a birthday party with my now ten year old daughter. She is my oldest and my baby. I will always remember when she was a baby, I would lay her on my chest. She would fall fast asleep. her little head by my chin and her feet at my belly button. My wife has a picture of us like that somewhere. But today she stands nearly to my shoulders. My birthday is not for another few days and hers was last month. We had work conflicts and could not have her party sooner. We decided to combine our parties. Of course it ended up all about her! I did not mind. She is my Bekah Boo. My baby girl. She has been excited about this party for a week now! As most things go, it did not quite go like she hoped at first and she got upset. By the end, she was in full smiles. All 4 dimples showing! She is precious. I love you Bek!
